    As an intern, you’ll:

    • Participate in the design and evaluation of production lines, provide improvements in cost, enhance performance, or facilitate manufacturing operations using fundamental principles of mechanical, industrial, or other engineering disciplines.
    • Interact with employees from different departments and learn how to work in a team environment.
    • Develop business acumen, improve your resume of experiences, and potentially gain letters of recommendation for future employment if you exceed expectations.
    • Get paired with a formal mentor.

    Essential duties and responsibilities

    • Work at our Dallas manufacturing site.
    • Work on projects related to capital expansions and support the team to find the best solutions.
    • Draft and design layout of equipment and workspace to illustrate and drive maximum efficiency.
    • Support the creation of value stream mapping for order to ship processes.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

    Qualification requirements

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with computer- aided design (CAD) and Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Experience with manufacturing methodology flow or value stream mapping.
    • Ability to function independently and maintain confidentiality.
    • Flexibility to work within a multi-discipline team and receive dynamic on-the-job training.
    • Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
