Dr. Zhi Li is an independent expert on issues related to the China cosmetic industry.

Zhi obtained his PhD in chemistry from Northwestern University and conducted postdoctoral research at MIT before starting his career in the beauty industry in 2006 at Living Proof. Throughout his career, Zhi has held key positions at major companies such as Croda, Dow, Living Proof, and L'Oréal, where he has developed a deep understanding of the beauty industry.

Zhi was recognized with the Allan Black Award from the SCC in 2017. He served as a member of the PCPC INCI committee from 2017 to 2019 and was the Organizing Committee Chair for the SCC 74th Annual Meeting in 2020. Zhi is currently an oversea board member of Guangdong Cosmetics Association, and is serving SCC’s Committee on Professional Education.
