    The Director of Quality is responsible for leading the quality team to support the quality processes and output of the site. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and optimizing the site’s quality performance, identifying and improving areas of need and establishing robust, repeatable processes for consistent and predictable results. This position will collaborate with the other functions and reports to the COO.

    • Manage and lead overall expectations pertaining to site performance, priorities, budget, costs and resources
    • Plan, coordinate, and direct quality assurance/control programs and help establish standards designed to ensure continuous production of products
    • Oversee the Quality Lab to ensure the capabilities and capacity of the lab meet the needs of our growing business
    • Ensure there is an effective training program covering various quality methods, standards and procedures.
    • Ensure adherence to all company SOPs to strictly minimize any quality issues.
    • Build relationships and a collaborative approach with all internal and external customers, with a special focus on our clients’ Quality leaders
    • Work closely with the Operations and R&D departments to build quality into the process, achieve our goals, meet high company standards and to expedite handling of obstacles and issues
    • Support New Product Launch activities ensuring robust practices are used to ensure successful launches
    • Effectively manage quality systems in a scalable manner to meet the needs of various product groups (e.g. cosmetics, OTCs, medical devices)
    • Support a culture of Lean and Continuous Improvement to constantly improve quality, efficiency and delivery performance

    • Bachelors Degree and a MBA or Masters degree preferred
    • 10-15 years of manufacturing experience with minimum of 5 years in senior quality leadership
    • Experience leading various audits (FDA, Customer, Intl. regulatory bodies, etc)
    • Strong leadership skills – both of the team that is directly managed and in collaborative efforts across the organization in building and leveraging cross-functional teams
    • Leadership development skills are critical
    • Experience in a contract manufacturing organization dealing with external customers is a plus
    • Must be flexible and able to work in fast paced environment with changing priorities
    • Experience with Lean / Sigma (Green or Black Belt certification a plus)
    • Strong experience with ERP Systems (SAP experience preferred)
    • Strong experience with an electronic Quality Management System (AssurX experience a plus)
    • Experience with Program / Project Management
